With the Christmas holiday looming, the Senate is working around the clock to finish passage of their health care reform package. BIAA continues to play a large role in securing important provisions necessary to provide access to care for the brain injury community.
Appropriations Update
This week, Congress came closer to concluding work on appropriations for fiscal year 2010. The House adopted a conference report of an omnibus package of six spending bills including language for Labor, Health and Human Services and Education that will provide the funding allocation for programs authorized through the TBI Act and for NIDRR’s TBI-related research programs, including TBI Model Systems of Care.
