Omnibus Appropriations Bill Passes, Including Funding for TBI Programs

On Wednesday, December 19, the House cleared an omnibus appropriations bill (H.R. 2764), sending it on to the President, who is expected to sign it as soon as today.

This omnibus spending bill includes funding for the 11 remaining FY2008 appropriations bills not yet enacted into law this year, and matches President Bush’s proposed spending limit of $933 billion for all FY2008 discretionary appropriations. Continue Reading »

Queensbury boxer died of multiple head injuries — new and previous

‘Trauma Mommas’ come to the rescue

Safety fair set at Skate Park

The Tuscarawas County Safe Kids Coalition will hold a safety fair Saturday from 11 to 2 at the New Philadelphia Skate Park. The event, part of National Safe Kids Week, is designed to teach children, teens and caregivers about the brain and risks of traumatic brain injury. Free food, T-shirts and multi-sport helmets will be offered.

WWI mental casualties were ‘hidden’
